Costs
Costs
Costs are entered into a table which includes two columns. There are two separate tables, one for Investment and one for Operation – Maintenance and Repair. As you click on each row a default text name appears for that table line item. Select each description and rename as desired. As they are added to the project alternative, their line item names appear in the tree structure as well. Each cost is included in the year in which it is incurred. Only one row per a year is allowed, so where multiple costs of either type occur in the same year, you must combine the costs. The tables can accept both positive and negative values.
A Grand Total Column automatically sums up the values from the two sets of columns.
The currency symbol selected for this table is based on the value entered in the Settings – Regional – Currency Symbol.
Tree Structure
The tree structure shows the costs that have been added to the projects. The costs are organized by investment costs and operation, maintenance, and repair (OM&R) costs. The investment costs represent initial project expenses, equipment replacement costs, and salvage costs. The OM&R costs represent the operation, maintenance, and repair costs during the lifespan of the study.
